    • Major changes from the draft
    • For Remote use of Students and Staff.
    • Connected Devices - School Owned-  Laptops tablets, but not desktops or cell phone
    • WiFi on School Buses IS allowed.  This funding is not available through E-Rate.  Funding for hardware and service through 6/30/2022
    • ....for eligible equipment and services for students and staff...who would otherwise lack connected devices and/or broadband Internet access sufficient to engage in remote learning…
    • Laptop/Chromebook refresh should be eligible but for only devices that are at End of Life, or can not support the current learning solutions
      • Will probably have to prove that the devices are needed and the district current devices do not meet the requirements.
      • Devices must be actively used,  Does not support spares, or devices that will not be used.
    • Window 1 is for purchase to be made between 7/1/2021 to 6/30/2022
    • Window 2, if funds still exist to cover purchases from 3/1/2020-6/30/2021.  Can not be used for devices/services that were already reimbursed by other federal funds (CARES Act)
    • Up to $400 per connected device (tablets/laptops)
    • Up to $250 per Wireless HotSpot
    • If demand exceeds the $7.1 Billion, reimbursement will be based on the highest percent of Free/Reduced eligible first.
    • 45 Day 471 filing window for ECF - No 470 needed.  Must follow district bidding guidelines
    • Must be listed on sam.gov and have a SAM record to participate.
    • If a vendor sends an Invoice, you will be able to request funds before payment to the vendor.
    • File for funds within 60 days of approval.
    • Will want to file for a full year of Internet service, even if billed monthly,  School will get full amount up front even if billed monthly.
