  • Pam Jacobs - What are we doing for home Internet access
    • How big of a deal is student connectivity?  
      • Storm Lake - Big problem to solve,  Even Staff has issues.
      • Alta Aurelia - Purchased 25 Hotspots,  Only 10 in use. 5th Grade and up.  
      • Pocahontas - First Distance Learning Meeting just happened.  
      • GreeneCounty - Staggered classes at school is a possibility when returning next year.  City of Jefferson will enable Internet to households that qualify that don’t have it.  - 
      • State is working on a State LMS - Moodle?  
  • Pocahontas 7-12 Take Home 1:1.  This Summer 3-12.  
    • If student forgot computer at home they are lower priority to damaged machines for loaners.  
  • Storm Lake,  May be K12 1:1 after board meeting.  Only had to purchase 300 Chromebooks to have enough for 1:1
  • Pocahontas Selling older Chromebooks to the public to purchase.  Currently $30 each, Next year $75-$100. Sold out every year. 
  • Pocahontas new machines will be touch screens.  4 year refresh cycle.
  • Pocahontas HS subs use QR code chromebook
  • Yoga 460s staff at Pocahontas
